The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office has increased a reward from $5,000.00 to $5500.00 on a house fire that is being investigated in Duplin County.
Tonight was a busy night for Sarecta Fire. First, at around 8:40 we were dispatched with Forestry for a woods fire off E. Wards Bridge Rd.
At 12:57pm we were dispatched Mutual Aid to Pink Hill for a hay field on fire on W. Pleasant Hill Rd. Brush truck arrived to help with protecting the fire from reaching a structure.
On November the 29th of 2021, one of our officers was asked to escort an individual to their apartment at Benchmark Court apartments. On arrival, smoke was discovered coming out of the apartment.
A $5,000.00 reward is being offered by the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Duplin County Fire Marshalls Office.
At 10:09pm last night Potters Hill Fire Department was dispatched to a working structure fire on Blueberry Lane.
An Open-Burning Ban is hereby declared within the jurisdiction of Duplin County.
Yesterday, Warsaw Engine 1, Engine 3, Engine 4, Tanker 1, Tanker 2, Truck 4, and Command 4 all responded to a structure fire that was impinging on other structures. Upon the simultaneous arrival of Engine 3 and Tanker 1, those personnel found a fully involved single wide trailer and an out building already on the ground.
Potters Hill Fire Department and Beulaville Fire Department were on the scene.

Yesterday at 5:48pm, Greenevers Fire along with automatic aid from Rose Hill, Teachey and Northeast responded to a vehicle fire that was threatening a structure. Within 4 minutes at 5:52 Greenevers E1 arrived to find heavy fire and smoke showing from a vehicle with some extension to the carport.
On Saturday October 16th, Potters Hill Fire Department was dispatched to a field fire on Sarecta Rd.
Mount Olive, Oakwolfe and Calypso Fire Departments were dispatched to a possible vehicle fire at the friendly mart on Highway 403 .
This morning at approximately 2:15 am units were dispatched to an accident with a vehicle in the water.
