Kenansville-Duplin County Chamber of Commerce holds annual meeting

The Kenansville-Duplin County Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting. The guest speaker, Jeff Dial, President of Vidant Duplin Hospital, gave updates on the hospital and spoke about the importance of partnerships.
According to VidantHealth’s website, “the joint operating agreement between Brody School of Medicine and Vidant is now underway, enabling the organizations to create ECU Health.”
The commerce presented awards for Outstanding Teacher of the Year, Karen McGee, Outstanding Firefighters of the Year, David Flowers and Steven Whitman, and Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, to the late Chief Donald Hall.
Teacher Karen McGee was unavailable to receive her award.
